Can't Upload PDF |
| Question/Comment: |
| |
I am trying to add a link to a PDF document with tournament information. I have uploading a JPG successfully, but when following the same process for trying to link the PDF file it's not working. Here's what I am doing:
- I selected the text to which I want to PDF linked, open the hyperlink creator,
- paste the name of the uploaded file [www.wayzatahockey.org/docs/RebelsClassicBrackets.pdf],
- then select blank to have it open in a new windo,
- then select OK and the hyperlink window resets to blank with no error msg and the link is not successful.
Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks.

The file needs to be uploaded in the Upload File area of the site maintenance so that way it's on the website. Once you've uploaded it there, you can link it to information on the website for people to see. If you would like, give us the file and what you want it linked to and we can do it for you.

Yes, I had already uploaded the file but just can't get the link to work. The file is in our Uploaded File log on the Admin page. It's the only pdf.
I am trying to get this linked to the public page announcement, specifically Tournament Information. The words I am selected are the Champlin Rebels Thanksgiving Classic . It seems pretty straightforward but I've tried it 4 or 5 times with the same result.
Thanks for your help.

To help you out with creating links we need to know what kind of computer you are using. MAC or PC? What operating system are you using on that computer and what version? And lastly, what browser are you using and what version?

I added some scripts to the site that are supposed to be more Mac compatible. Please give it s try and let me know how it works.

That worked! Thanks!
One more question...is there a way to insert a tab in the text area of
announcement? I can only see the option to insert an indent for the
whole line. |

No not really. Formatting text on websites is not a very easy thing to do. You could maybe add bullets or numbers to make things stand out or just add new paragraphs.
