USA Hockey National Championship 2026

Plymouth, Minnesota is excited to host the 2026 USA Hockey High School National Championship from March 18 - March 22, 2026!
Here you will find helpful information for planning your time in Plymouth, Minnesota at Wayzata Youth Hockey Association - host of the USA Hockey High School National Championship Tournament. Plymouth, Minnesota and our surrounding cities have a lot to offer visitors and these resources are here to help you plan your visit.
Dates
The first game will start at the following times by division on Wednesday March 18:
- 8:45 AM 1A
- 11:00 AM 2A
- 6:45 PM 3A
- 4:45 PM Girls 1A
- 3:00 PM Girls 2A
The last game start at the following times by division on Sunday March 22:
- 8:45AM 1A
- 11:45 AM 2A
- 9:00 AM 3A
- 1:30 PM Girls 1A
- 11:15AM Girls 2A

Hotel booking instructions will be sent from USA Hockey to each team contact.
Travel Arrangements
Plymouth and Maple Grove, Minnesota are suburbs on the northwest side of Minneapolis. For those travelling by air, Minneapolis/St. Paul international airport (MSP) is the closest airport, about 30 minutes away from Plymouth.
Car Rentals
All major rental car companies operate on-airport at MSP, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty. ACE and TURO operate off-airport. Counters are available at both terminals, and rentals can be returned to either one.
Rideshare Pickups (Uber/Lyft)
- Terminal 1: Pick up at the Ground Transportation Center on Level 1 of the Green/Gold Ramps.
- Terminal 2: Pick up at the Ground Transport Center on the ground level of the Purple Ramp.
Best Option for Teams
To reach Plymouth, most teams rely on rental vehicles, team vans, charter buses, or rideshare, as direct transit options to Plymouth are limited.
Group Transportation
Several shuttle, charter bus, and private car services operate in the Twin Cities and can accommodate team gear and luggage. Advance reservations recommended.

Rinks
Games will be held at the Plymouth Ice Center and the Maple Grove Ice Arena.
Plymouth Ice Center (The PIC)
Address: 3650 Plymouth Blvd, Plymouth, MN 55446
This is the primary location for the tournament and where initial check-in, team photos, and merchandise sales will occur.
Rink Details:
- PIC has three rinks named Rink A, Rink B and Rink C
- When arriving at PIC, there are multiple entrances. We ask that players enter via the coach/player entrance located on the right side of this map (also called the lower level).
- Bus parking is immediately straight ahead of the coach / player entrance.
- Fans and the public are asked to enter via the entrance located on the left side of this map (also called the upper level). Fans and the public can park on the left side.
Maple Grove Ice Arena

Check-in Instructions
Initial Tournament Check-In:
- The Head Coach and Manager should plan to check-in with the on-site Tournament Director at least 2 hours before your first game
- At the Plymouth Ice Center (PIC), go to the Blue Line Room (in the main entrance lobby area)
- At the Maple Grove Arena (location TBD)
Before each game:
- The Head Coach needs go to the Tournament Director at least 1 hour prior to each game to sign the roster
- A designated Locker Room Monitor (LRM) must go to Tournament Director to collect the Locker Room Key and return it after the game
Team Photographs
Official team photographs will be taken prior to your first scheduled game. Photographers will be at both rink locations. Your team needs to dress early to accommodate this requirement. Please note that personal photographs are not permitted in this zone. A schedule will be shared with Managers and and Head Coaches closer to the event.
Apparel
Apparel will be available for purchase online starting February 1, 2026. There will also be apparel available to purchase onsite at the Plymouth Ice Center (PIC) and Maple Grove Ice Arena.

Key Details for Team Managers & Coaches
Tournament Programs
Each team will be given three tournament programs. Additional programs will be sold onsite at Plymouth Ice Center / Maple Grove Ice Arena for $10 each. Cash or Venmo are the only forms of payment accepted.
Practice Pucks/Water Bottles
Leave your pucks at home! The tournament will provide warmup pucks for each game. However, your team will need to bring water bottles.
Penalty Boxes
Per USA Hockey guidance, all minor officials are provided by the host. Teams are NOT allowed to provide any minor official roles.
Hospitality
The tournament will host a hospitality room at the PIC Center Ice Room but please be advised that this room is for USA Hockey officials, referees, tournament staff, and team coaches / managers only. It is not intended for players and parents.
GameSheet
The USA Hockey National High School Tournament will be using GameSheet for all scoring.
Bus and Transportation Services
You are welcome to use any transportation service. Renee's Limousine's is local to the area.
