From the Rink to the Stage: A Special Theatre Experience for Hockey Families

Looking for a fun outing that connects to the love of skating and hockey? The Children's Theatre Company’s upcoming production of Twelve Kinds of Ice is a wonderful fit for Wayzata Hockey families!

Through the memories of a former figure skater, this production celebrates the magic of winter and the many ways ice brings people together—from spotting the first glaze of ice and building a backyard rink to hosting skating shows and hockey games.

Recommended for 2nd grade through high school, this heartfelt story offers a meaningful opportunity for young athletes to connect with the traditions, memories, and experiences that make ice sports so special. The story also touches on the loss of a loved one and the life of a preteen figure skater.

Performance Dates: October 13 – November 22, 2026

Whether you're planning a family outing, a team get-together, or a larger group experience, this is a great opportunity to connect outside the rink while celebrating something everyone shares: a love of the ice!
